Who I am

Get Lighter (“Get Lighter”, “I”, “me”, “my”) provides virtual office manager and executive assistant services. Get Lighter is currently operated as a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. For any question about this policy or your personal data, contact me at hello@get-lighter.com.

What data I collect

I collect personal data when you:

  • Book a call via Calendly — your name, email address, and any details you choose to add when scheduling.
  • Send an enquiry through my contact form — your name, email address, and the message you write. This opens your own email app to send the message directly to me; I do not store form submissions on a server.
  • Email me directly — whatever information is contained in your email and any attachments.
  • Browse my website — anonymised, aggregated visit statistics (such as page views and referrers) via Vercel Analytics. This does not use cookies or track you individually across sites.

If you go on to become a client, I'll also collect information necessary to deliver my services — for example, details about the tasks, tools, and communications you ask me to manage on your behalf.

How I use your data

I use personal data to:

  • Respond to enquiries and arrange consultation calls
  • Deliver and administer my services to clients
  • Meet my legal and accounting obligations (for example, invoicing and tax records)
  • Understand and improve how my website is used, in aggregate

My legal basis for this is either your consent (when you contact me or book a call), the steps necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you as a client, or my legitimate interest in running and improving Get Lighter — balanced against your rights.

Who I share it with

I use a small number of third-party services to run Get Lighter, each of which processes personal data on my behalf:

  • Calendly — to manage call scheduling. Calendly may store data outside the UK/EEA under its own privacy policy.
  • Vercel — to host this website and provide anonymised analytics.
  • Namecheap Private Email — to receive and send email at hello@get-lighter.com.

I do not sell your personal data, and I do not share it with anyone else except where required by law.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiry and client data for as long as needed to provide my services, and for up to 6 years afterwards to meet UK tax and accounting record-keeping obligations, after which it is securely deleted.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data I hold about you, and get a copy of it
  • Ask me to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask me to delete your data, where I'm not required to keep it
  • Object to, or ask me to restrict, certain uses of your data
  • Ask for your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@get-lighter.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Cookies

My website itself does not set tracking cookies. If you open the Calendly booking widget, Calendly may set its own cookies as part of its scheduling service — see Calendly's privacy policy for details.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent changes.
